LongmanTidalCorrection.gravity_accelerations(lat, lon, elev, dt)[source]#

Compute lunar and solar gravitational accelerations.

Parameters:
latscalar or array_like of shape(M,)

Latitude in decimal degrees.

lonscalar or array_like of shape(M,)

Longitude in decimal degrees.

elevscalar or array_like of shape(M,)

Elevation in meters (datum independent)

dtstr, datetime, or array_like of shape(M,)

The date-times to be at which to calculate corrections. Can be any format parsable by pandas.to_datetime() method.

Returns:
g_lunar, g_solar

The tidal acceleration in milligals due to the moon and sun. Scalar if all input args are scalar.
